WHO and the UNSCEAR secretariat signed today a framework of cooperation to collaborate on practical arrangements for the provision, collection, exchange, analysis and dissemination of data on ionizing radiation sources, exposure levels, and their effects (including risk) on populations, resulting in medical, occupational, and public exposures to such radiation. This agreement extends the present scope of collaboration on medical exposure and is expected to improve the future evaluations of trends of exposures, engagement with and support to Member States.
