The Scientific Committee reports annually to the United Nations General Assembly. This report and its scientific annexes are issued online and as a United Nations sales publication to disseminate the findings for the benefit of the international scientific community. The reports are discussed by the Assembly's Fourth Committee, which subsequently recommends a resolution to the Assembly for its adoption.
